ONLINE SEX EDUCATION COURSE FOR TEENS
EDSE now offers an exclusive online sex education course that is designed as an alternative or supplement to the sex education that is offered in your teenager’s school system. Over the course of 10 weeks, EDSE Lead Educator Anne Hodder-Shipp guides students through a comprehensive, inclusive, and expansive curriculum that explores essential sex ed topics with a compassionate and trauma-informed lens. This curriculum was created personally by Anne after 2 1/2 years teaching sex ed to 9th graders throughout Los Angeles Unified School District and 3 years (and counting) facilitating Gender & Sexuality group classes to teenagers in residential mental health treatment programs.

THE DETAILS:
Appropriate for ages 13-18.
Fees are non-negotiable and must be paid in full prior to the first class.
For class sizes up to 8 students: $2,000 ($200 per class / as low as $25 per student)
For class sizes of 9-14 students: $2,500 ($250 per class / as low as $18 per student)

Classes are held live and not recorded due to the confidential nature of the content. Please plan ahead to ensure your teenager(s) can attend all 10 sessions.
Access to a reliable Internet connection and a computer with a functioning camera is required. Students must have their cameras on at all times.
Classes include visual slides, group activities and discussion, watching videos, writing prompts, and other interactive teaching tools. There are no quizzes or exams.
The course schedule can be modified and amended to include topics requested by parents or caregivers, with Anne’s discretion.
Parents/caregivers can not sign their teenager(s) up without their express informed consent.
HOW IT WORKS:
Parents and caregivers typically band together to curate a group of teenagers to attend the class. This is ideal for students who would not feel comfortable learning about sexuality among others they don’t know personally. Bonus: the larger the group, the more economically accessible it becomes.
Some parents and caregivers prefer that their teenagers attend the course one-on-one with Anne. That’s OK, too!
